Altus Schools Charter School of San Diego (CSSD) is affiliated with Altus Schools. Altus Schools is an educational option for students in grades 6-12. Its instructional design is based on a “University Model.” Students work independently and attend tutoring sessions. Students come at scheduled times to maintain a safe environment and supportive school culture. The course of study is based on the California State Framework.

Under the direct supervision of a general education teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program in grades 6-12, and support operations of the resource center. Certificated Teacher Resource (CTRs) are a key part of each resource center’s instructional team. The CTR position is full-time, 40 hours per week. CTRs are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as representatives of the school at all times.

Resource Center Associates (RCAs) are a key part of each resource center’s instructional staff. The RCA position is hourly and part-time, 25 hours per week. As a key member of our Student Services Center (SSC) professional team and under the direct supervision of the Student Services Coordinator, the SSC Enrollment Specialist performs clerical duties necessary to the enrollment and placement of students, handles heavy telephones/emails, and provides support to the SSC as needed; has a good understanding of policies and procedures related to keeping student (or similar confidential) records; works cooperatively with staff to service students, parents and teachers.
